The Brewster Band was formed in March of 1994 by Leah Belliveau. The band was brought together to play music for the ceremony dedicating the new bandstand. This concert was such a success that the members of the band decided to just keep getting together to play great music. The band was founded to provide Sunday evening concerts on the bandstand during July and August each summer.
The Band is made up of volunteer musicians from the immediate and surrounding communities. The Band is supported by grants and donations.
Conductor John New is a retired music teacher from Nathaniel H. Wixon Innovation School. John is a highly skilled professional who delights the Band’s members as he coaches and challenges them to new levels of performance.
