Auburn will celebrate the Fourth of July with a community festival on Tuesday, July 1. The event features a patriotic ceremony, a concert, fun for kids, games, fireworks and more. The event will be held at the Pappas Recreation Complex on Pakachoag Street.
The fireworks are scheduled to begin at about 9:30 pm. There will be a free WRTA shuttle bus running from Pakachoag School, The Senior Center and Auburn Mall to the Pappas Complex.
The schedule for the night looks like this:
- 5-9:30 pm: Local food vendors, train rides, games for kids, face painting, rock and roll racing, a fun house, speed pitch game & more
- 6:45 pm: Grand entrance, American Legion & Vietnam Veterans
- 6:55 pm: Opening remarks
- 7:00 pm: Outriggers Concert
- 9:30 pm: Fireworks
