Lexington Massachusetts celebrates the season with a Fourth of July Carnival that goes on for five days. The Lions Club Carnival runs from Friday, June 30 to Tuesday, July 4, 2017. Please see our other page on the 4th of July in Lexington for more information on that event.
The fireworks this year will be staged on Monday, July 3, 2017, at dusk. See our fireworks page for more info.
The carnival features rides and games and prizes. The Lions Club will be providing the food. There will also be a hospitality tent, an information and safety trailer and emergency medical technicians will be on hand.
There will be wristbands that will be good for significant discounts on certain days.
The fireworks are staged at Center Field.
The field games will be held on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. The games will begin at 10:00 am. The games are held at Center Field Track. The games include 3 legged races, 50-yard dashes, a costume contest. sack races, watermelon eating contests and a bubble gum blowing contest. There are prizes for the winners.
The opening and closing times for the carnival are different almost every day. Here are the times for the carnival for each day:
- Friday, June 30, 6 to 11:00 pm: Carnival
- Saturday, July 1, 6 to 11:00 pm: Carnival
- Sunday, July 2, 1 to 11:00 pm: Carnival (fireworks: dusk)
- Monday, July 3, 1 to 11:00 pm: Carnival
- Tuesday, July 4, 1 to 11:00 pm: Carnival (games at 10:00 am)
