Where to go and what to see:
Historical Society Museum: The museum just acquired the Captain Elijah Cobb House to become the permanent home for its collection of historical artifacts. Currently, the exhibits are on display at their Main Street location.
Cape Cod Museum of Natural History: This small museum displays its own and traveling exhibitions, functions as a nature education center and acts as a steward for more than four hundred acres of beaches and marshes.
Old Higgins Farm Windmill: The historical society host tours of the Harris-Black House and the windmill. They also sponsor blacksmith demonstrations.
Brewster Store: Old general store that has been in business since 1866.
Drummer Boy Park: The park features walking trails, picnic areas and a playground (and the windmill).
Beaches: There are numerous beaches along Cape Cod Bay. Some of those include: Breakwater Beach, Ellis Landing and Saint’s Landing.
Nickerson State Park: The park is the largest state park on Cape Cod. The 1900 acre park offers camping, swimming, boating, biking, picnicking, canoeing, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, birdwatching, mountain biking and educational programs.
Drummer Boy Park: The park features walking trails, picnic areas and a playground (and the windmill).
What to do:
Brewster in Bloom: In early spring the chamber of commerce sponsors a three-day celebration of spring. The festival features a golfing contest, concerts, an arts and crafts show, a charity run, a kid’s fest, an art and antiques tour, inn tours, open houses and a town parade. The event raises funds for scholarships for Brewster students. The festival is held in early May, usually the first weekend of the month.
Local Theatre: Cape Repertory Theatre presents plays and musicals from May to December. During the summer they present plays in their outdoor theatre.
Summer Concerts: Concerts by the Brewster Band on Sundays at Drummer Boy Park and at EPOCH assisted living on some Thursdays during July and August.
Cape Cod Baseball League: Games are played at Stony Brook Elementary School in July and August.
Fall for the Arts: Celebrations take place all over the cape during October.
Green Halloween (TM): Brewster Chamber of Commerce and Cape Cod Museum of Natural History join together for a supernatural event at the museum.
Brewster for the Holidays: The community celebrates the season with a tree lighting, carols, concerts, local business receptions, Santa Claus events, a chowder fest and some local inns sponsor holiday open houses. The events are scheduled throughout the month of December.
Summer Day Programs for Kids: The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History presents educational programs for children from June to August. Preregistration is required.

FAMOUS FOR OR KNOWN AS:
Samuel Nickerson lived here: Nickerson is the namesake of the state park here and was an important key figure in American business in his time. His former home is Fieldstone Hall.
The Brewster Flats: The tides recede to reveal vast flat expanses of sand for over a mile. You’ll find tidal pools, shells, sand bars and clam beds. They are one of the largest expanse of tidal flats in North America.
Brewster Oysters: The oysters are raised on the flats as shown in the photo shown below.
