Hingham July 4th Fireworks 2016 One Big Show for Small Town

Hingham Fireworks

Hingham celebrates the Fourth of July with two days of celebrations. The fireworks are part of a community event hosted by the local Lion’s Club. The event begins at 3:00 pm at the Hingham Harbor Gazebo. Children’s and family activities include patriotic face painting, a bounce house, balloons and more. At 5:00 pm the pre-concert music starts. At 7:00 pm, there’s a live concert and the fireworks begin at dusk, which should be about 9:15 pm.

Families are invited to bring chairs and blankets to the park.

Here are some more details about this community celebration that were submitted by the Lion’s Club.

The Hingham Lions will host the annual, American classic July 4th Community Celebration on Saturday, July 1 at picturesque Hingham Harbor.

Please join us to enjoy an afternoon of family activities, an evening with live music, lots of summer fare and a wonderful fireworks extravaganza.

Many still may not realize that the fireworks are privately funded – solely by kind, private citizens, and great business supporters. The family fun tradition is not paid for by the town of Hingham, although all town departments are very helpful.

The Lions fundraising campaign is underway; we are seeking 100% community participation – every contribution is important, and very much appreciated. Please help us make this event a success!
